Day 1: Arrival in San José
Welcome Meet & Greet
Touch down in Costa Rica’s vibrant capital, San Jose. A dedicated transfer will bring you from the airport to our centrally located accommodation, where you’ll have time to relax and freshen up.
Group dinner & Introductions
In the evening, we’ll gather for a laid-back welcome meal to get acquainted, share travel stories, and learn what everyone’s most excited about. Meet fellow travelers and make new friends!
Day 2: San José City Exploration → Journey to La Fortuna
Guided City Tour
Dive into Costa Rican culture on a guided walking tour through San José’s historic heart. Stroll past the National Theater, explore colorful local markets, and sip specialty coffee while sampling delicious local treats like empanadas and tamales.
Transfer to La Fortuna
After soaking up the capital’s sights and flavors, we’ll take a 3-hour road trip to the scenic region of La Fortuna with stops to capture stunning landmarks. We consider La Fortuna an adventure haven. Upon arrival, settle into your rainforest-inspired lodging and enjoy free time to unwind.
Day 3: White Water Rafting
Rafting Excursion
Kick off the day with an exhilarating white-water rafting trip down Class II–III rapids. Navigate through the jungle-lined river, spot tropical wildlife, and stop for a refreshing swim. This is one of the most exciting adventures you can do in Costa Rica.
Free Time & Night Out
The rest of the day is yours to relax by the pool or lounge in a hammock. In the evening, those feeling adventurous can explore local nightlife, or opt for a casual dinner at La Fortuna downtown, the town is yours for the taking.
Day 4: Volcano Views & Chocolate Indulgence
Rainforest ATV Ride
Embark on a thrilling ATV ride through private rainforest trails at the foot of Arenal Volcano. Expect rugged terrain, mud-splattered fun, and unbeatable photo ops of the volcano’s impressive silhouette.
Chocolate Factory Visit
In the afternoon, discover the sweet side of Costa Rica with a hands-on chocolate tour. Learn about the country’s world-renowned cacao, sample freshly made treats, and gain insights into traditional production methods.
Day 5: Waterfall Wonders
La Fortuna Waterfall Visit
Start the day admiring one of Costa Rica’s most famous cascades. Hike down lush forest trails to the base of the waterfall, where you can wade in crystal-clear pools.
Day 6: Farewell, Costa Rica
Departure
After breakfast, we’ll say our goodbyes and head back to San José for return flights home. Depart with new friendships, unforgettable memories, and a deeper appreciation for Costa Rica’s vibrant culture and nature.
What airport should you fly to?
Fly into San Jose Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), where you’ll be picked up and taken to your hotel. Don’t worry, we can support you with booking the best flight deal

Breakfast is included. Other meals will be at your own expense, but we’ll share recommendations for great local spots!
What’s the accommodation setup?
Accommodation is based on double occupancy. Every traveler will be thoughtfully matched and vetted. Let us know if you prefer a separate room, and we can arrange it!
What’s included in the trip package?
Visa requirements depend on your nationality. Passport holders from the U.S., Canada, and the U.K., can enter visa-free. However, your passport must be valid for at least six months from your travel date. We recommend checking your country’s entry requirements in advance to ensure a smooth trip!
